In the wake of the Intermediate (Class 12) results being declared in Telangana, students and parents are grappling with anxiety. Once again, many students are distressed over their results. However, one student, overcome by despair over his results, attempted suicide. But at the last minute, his marks were revised to the merit level, allowing him to pass. This incident took place in the Secunderabad area of Hyderabad.
A 17-year-old student named Ravikiran (pseudonym) from a private junior college in Secunderabad checked his Intermediate results on his phone on the 10th of this month. Believing his marks were insufficient, he grew despondent and attempted suicide by locking himself in a room at home. His family members rescued him and rushed him to the hospital. Meanwhile, college officials rechecked his answer sheets, corrected some marks, and awarded him additional points. This pushed his overall score to the merit level, enabling him to pass. Upon hearing the news, his family and friends breathed a sigh of relief.
