Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar district. On this occasion, he announced that Adampur Airport would be renamed as ‘Guru Gobind Singh International Airport’ in honour of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He also inaugurated the newly built airport at Halwara.
During his visit, the Prime Minister interacted with local people and listened to their concerns. He said these airports would create new opportunities for the people of Punjab and contribute to the region’s development. He stressed that these changes would strengthen Punjab’s religious and cultural heritage.
The announcement to rename Adampur Airport has brought joy to the local people. The airport, previously known as Adampur Airport, is now associated with Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Alongside this, the inauguration of the new airport at Halwara is expected to boost Punjab’s air traffic network.
Present on the occasion were Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and other senior leaders. They praised the Prime Minister’s initiative and called it a significant moment for Punjab.
