Amid rising electricity problems in several districts of Karnataka, the Deputy Commissioner organised an important online meeting. The meeting took place on Thursday, June 6, 2024, and focused on the district’s power supply and urgent remedial measures.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Anuradha (IAS). Joining her were the District Electrical Engineer, Mr. Pramod Kumar, the Sub-Divisional Officers, and representatives from the power supply agency. Detailed discussions were held on power cuts, repair work, and ways to resolve issues going forward.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Anuradha said, “Electricity problems are seriously affecting people’s daily lives. Therefore, urgent remedial measures must be taken. Holding this online meeting has brought all concerned officials together on a single platform, which will help in quick resolution.”
District Electrical Engineer Pramod Kumar added, “Currently, technical issues are being observed in power transformers. A plan has been drawn up to resolve these problems within the next 15 days. We have also discussed the use of new technologies to reduce power-cut durations.”
