The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has initiated the counseling process for the year 2026. Through this counseling, admissions will be granted to premier engineering institutions across the country, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. However, this year, the commencement of JoSAA counseling has posed a significant challenge for many candidates. The reason is that securing a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 has become mandatory for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Consequently, candidates who did not achieve 75% in Class 12 are now facing difficulties with the counseling process.
