The Congress party has raised serious allegations against the Maharashtra government and the State Common Entrance Test Cell (SCETC), the exam conducting body, following widespread irregularities and alleged paper leaks in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted in the state. The party has demanded an immediate independent inquiry into these incidents.
Addressing the media on Monday, Congress spokesperson Prakash Javadekar stated that thousands of candidates have complained about paper leaks and discrepancies in answer sheets during the CET exam. He alleged that inadequate monitoring at several exam centres allowed unfair means to be used. The Congress has urged Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar to take immediate accountability for these lapses.
