Karuppu, the fantasy action entertainer starring Suriya, is sustaining strong box office momentum even in its third week, according to the latest trade data. On Day 17, the film collected Rs 5.90 crore net, reflecting a 14.6 percent increase over the previous day’s earnings of Rs 5.15 crore. This growth has pushed the film’s total domestic net collections to Rs 182.45 crore, with gross earnings reaching Rs 210.99 crore.
The film’s performance remains robust across regions, with Tamil Nadu continuing to be the biggest contributor. On Day 17, Tamil Nadu alone contributed Rs 5.35 crore, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together added Rs 80 lakh, Karnataka Rs 40 lakh, Kerala Rs 18 lakh, and other regions Rs 5 lakh. The Tamil version dominated with Rs 5.20 crore from 2,353 shows and 39 percent occupancy, while the Telugu version earned Rs 70 lakh from 974 shows with 19 percent occupancy. Overall, the Tamil version registered 43.53 percent occupancy, with evening shows performing best at 56.62 percent.
