Bengaluru, May 10: H.D. Kumaraswamy’s trusted leader and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president K. Khader on Wednesday firmly dismissed the ongoing political buzz about him being considered for the Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) post in the coalition government. Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Khader categorically stated that any decision regarding the appointment would be taken by the Congress party’s high command and not by him.
The clarification comes amid intense speculation in political circles about the distribution of key portfolios following the formation of the Congress-JDS coalition government in Karnataka. Sources had earlier suggested that Khader was among the frontrunners for the Deputy Chief Minister’s role, given his seniority, organisational skills, and close ties with party leadership.
