The objective of this project is to establish a well-organized and modern darshan system, similar to 'Mahakal Lok', within the temple premises. The Khajarana Temple, known for being located near the Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, holds not only religious significance but will also enrich the city's tourism and cultural heritage. In the first phase of the project, the beautification of the temple premises, reconstruction of the entrance gate, and ensuring smooth access for devotees will be undertaken. Additionally, the development of areas surrounding the temple is also included. This plan, jointly prepared by the local administration and the temple trust, has an estimated total budget of 50 crore rupees, with approximately 20 crore rupees allocated for the first phase. During the groundbreaking ceremony, it was announced that the temple premises will be developed on the lines of 'Mahakal Lok', providing devotees with a well-organized darshan system, avoiding congestion. Notably, the Khajarana Temple has a very ancient history and has been included among the prominent religious sites by the Madhya Pradesh government. Upon completion of this project, a significant increase in the number of devotees visiting the temple premises is expected, which will also strengthen the local economy.
