The Kolkata Police have arrested several individuals in connection with fraud cases across different parts of the city. Among those arrested is a person named Bivas. Fraudulent activities were also reported in areas like Noapara, similar to Kolkata. Yesterday, on November 15, 2023, a special team from the Kolkata Police conducted raids and arrested a total of six individuals. They have been charged with fraud and forgery.
Apart from Bivas, the arrested individuals include five others whose names have not been disclosed. During the operation, the police recovered several important documents and digital devices, which will serve as evidence in the case. The Lalbazar Police Commissionerate has stated that the six accused have been remanded to judicial custody and legal proceedings have been initiated against them.
Victims of this fraud have filed complaints at local police stations. They allege that they were lured into traps on online platforms and social media. Bivas and his associates are reported to have used various fraudulent tactics. The Kolkata Police investigation team is conducting further inquiries to dismantle the entire fraud network.
