In the 2021 Assembly elections, Stalin won the Kolathur seat on the DMK ticket. Since then, the DMK has been actively preparing to field him again from the same constituency. However, the AIADMK has adopted a new strategy, particularly in key constituencies like Kolathur, aiming to disrupt the DMK’s stronghold by fielding strong opposition candidates.
