The accident occurred around 11:30 AM near the Mahaveer Nagar area, where the underpass was nearing completion as part of ongoing urban infrastructure development.
Local authorities confirmed that the collapse took place during routine construction activities. Initial reports suggest that the structural failure may have been caused by inadequate support or overloading. Rescue teams, including fire and police personnel, rushed to the site and pulled out several injured workers. The deceased were identified as Ramesh Meena, 32, and Rajesh Patel, 28, both residents of Kota. Five other workers sustained minor injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals, including Mahaveer Hospital and JK Lon Hospital, where they received treatment.
