In Telangana, Good Governance Day is being celebrated every year on August 25, marking the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This year too, officials have completed preparations to organise the day with special events across all government departments, offices, and educational institutions.
The Telangana government has already issued Government Order (GO) No. 113 in this regard. As per the GO, all government offices, urban local bodies, public sector undertakings, and educational institutions are required to observe Good Governance Day. This year’s theme for the day is *"Good Governance – Service to Society"*, aiming to emphasise the importance of transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public service.
