A sudden leak of toxic gas at a factory manufacturing door handles in Ludhiana on Wednesday morning caused panic. Three people, including a father and son, died of asphyxiation, while several workers suffered severe effects. Workers inside the factory at the time had no time to escape the gas, and many collapsed due to severe eye irritation.
According to eyewitnesses, the factory was operating normally when a gas leak began from a pipeline or cylinder. Within minutes, the toxic gas spread throughout the facility. The intensity was so high that workers had no chance to escape. Many suffered from suffocation and eye burns, leaving several in critical condition. Panic spread across the area as people were evacuated.
