Bhopal, July 15: In a major push for agricultural growth and rural prosperity, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced a landmark ₹50,000 crore welfare package for farmers on Monday. The initiative, unveiled during a high-profile press conference in Bhopal, is aimed at enhancing irrigation infrastructure, ensuring better market access, and providing financial relief to farmers across the state.
Speaking to reporters, Dr. Yadav emphasized that the package reflects the state government’s commitment to doubling farmer incomes and promoting sustainable agriculture. “This is not just a financial package; it’s a vision for transforming the lives of our farmers,” he said. The Chief Minister highlighted key components including ₹20,000 crore for expanding micro-irrigation under the ‘Jal Jeevan Kisan Abhiyan’, ₹15,000 crore for input subsidy and crop insurance, and ₹10,000 crore for establishing farmer producer organizations (FPOs) and strengthening supply chains.
