Mumbai, Maharashtra – 164 Indian tourists stranded in West Asia were safely brought back to Mumbai with the swift intervention of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Ministry of External Affairs. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that these tourists were evacuated from various countries via special flights and landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. Most of them were stranded in countries like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Government officials confirmed that all tourists will be taken to their destinations after a health check.
Meanwhile, Thane Police have arrested an accused in a significant case. According to the police, a 19-year-old girl alleged that a man tried to harass her. Following the complaint, the accused was arrested. The police identified the accused as Rahul Sharma (22 years), a resident of a nearby area in Thane. The victim stated that the accused attempted to touch her forcibly, after which she raised an alarm and sought help from people around. The police have registered a case against the accused under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for attempting to outrage the modesty of a woman.
