In a recent interview, Bobby Deol shared that the decision to remove him from *Jab We Met* was made during a phase when his market value had declined. He said, “That chapter is over now. We are friends. My heart broke because at that point in my career, I needed a film like that.” He went on to praise Imtiaz Ali, the director behind hits like *Socha Na Tha*, saying he was impressed after watching the rough cut of *Jab We Met*. “I thought he was such a good director—I should work with him,” he recalled.
