Chennai, [Date]: In a significant political development, three AIADMK legislators—Edappadi K Palaniswami, S Jayakumar, Maragatham Kumaravel, and P Sathyabama—submitted their resignations to Speaker J C D Prabhakar on Monday. The resignations came after the trio, along with 22 other MLAs from the C Ve Shanmugam-S P Velumani faction, voted in favor of the Tamiliga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government during a recent confidence motion. Party insiders revealed that the resignations were prompted by assurances from TVK Chief Coordinator and Minister K A Sengottaiyan, who reportedly promised to accommodate and field the MLAs in their respective constituencies during the upcoming by-elections.
