Muzaffarpur, Bihar – Police in Muzaffarpur district have arrested a local man for allegedly circulating AI-generated fake videos featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. The arrest was made under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including those related to forgery and cyber offenses.
According to officials, the accused, identified as 28-year-old Rajesh Kumar from Ward No. 23 in Muzaffarpur, was detained after a complaint was filed by local authorities. The complaint stated that manipulated videos, created using artificial intelligence tools, were being widely shared on social media platforms, potentially misleading the public. Police sources revealed that the videos had been altered to show the two constitutional leaders making statements they never made.
