Bengaluru witnessed an unusual protest on Saturday when a man, accompanied by his visibly pregnant wife, sat on a busy road in the city to oppose the movement of the Karnataka Governor’s convoy. The incident took place in the afternoon in the Koramangala area, a key locality in the tech capital.
According to witnesses, the man identified as Ramesh, along with his wife Lakshmi—who is in her eighth month of pregnancy—placed themselves on the road near the Forum Mall junction. They refused to move even as vehicles in the convoy, including official cars bearing the Governor’s flag, approached. Traffic came to a standstill as the couple sat down, chanting slogans against the Governor and demanding better traffic management during VIP movements.
