According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), severe heatwave conditions (loo) will continue over several states in central and northwest India for the next two days. This update has been shared via 'News on Air'. The weather department has issued a warning that temperatures are expected to rise significantly in states and union territories like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, which could impact public health.
Additionally, the IMD has provided several precautions to protect against the intense heat. People have been advised to avoid going out during the afternoon, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, wear light and cotton clothing, and pay special attention to children and elderly citizens. The weather department has indicated that temperatures in these regions could exceed 45 degrees Celsius.
