In Surajpur village, located about 25 kilometers from Meerut city, a unique claim is being made at the Shiva temple, where a long queue of patients can be seen. The temple's priest and local residents claim that due to Lord Shiva's blessings, patients who visit the temple get relief from their pain without any medication. Hundreds of people visit the temple daily to pray for the cure of their ailments. Local resident Ram Pal Singh stated that he had been suffering from joint pain for many years. He said, "I showed my condition to many doctors, took medicines, but got no relief. After visiting the temple, my pain has reduced significantly." The temple's priest said that this miracle is possible only due to Lord Shiva's blessings. He said, "We perform the jalabhishik ritual of Lord Shiva for all the people who come here and fulfill their wishes." However, doctors have a different opinion on this claim. A doctor from a government hospital in Meerut, on the condition of anonymity, said that believing in such miracles prevents people from getting proper treatment for their illnesses. He said, "In such cases, people do not take their illnesses seriously and do not get timely treatment, which can worsen the situation." People visiting the temple say that they are getting relief from their ailments due to Lord Shiva's blessings. They stated that visiting the temple has boosted their morale and they are ready to fight their illnesses. The temple witnesses a crowd of devotees from 5 am every morning, and the queues continue till evening.
