Residents of Ward 10 in Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh, faced a disrupted water supply throughout Sunday. No water tanker arrived from morning till evening, forcing people to sit on the streets with empty vessels. Local resident Rajesh Sharma said the ward’s water tank had nearly emptied, but despite contacting administrative officials, they received no water until night.
Residents of Ward 10 have alleged negligence in water supply. They claimed that while tankers are often allocated, this time they either arrived late or not at all. Women and children faced particular difficulties during this period. Local social worker Mohan Lal said the administration should immediately investigate the matter and take action against those responsible.
After learning of the incident, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Mandideep Municipal Corporation assured residents that the situation would be normalized soon. The CMO stated that an investigation into the causes of the water shortage is underway and that regular tanker supplies will be ensured within the next 24 hours.
