Coimbatore’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will have a dedicated platform to understand the Emergency Credit Limit Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) 5.0 on Friday, 5 June 2026. The Tamil Nadu State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) and Canara Bank’s Coimbatore branch are jointly organising the awareness programme at the CODISSIA office. The event is being held on the explicit directions of the Department of Financial Services, Government of India, to ensure wider participation and clarity among businesses.
ECLGS 5.0 is a government-backed credit guarantee scheme introduced to support businesses—including MSMEs and the aviation sector—in meeting short-term liquidity requirements. During the programme, officials will provide a comprehensive walkthrough of the scheme’s objectives, eligibility criteria, application procedures, guarantee facilities, and the financial benefits available to qualifying enterprises. The session is designed not only for business owners but also for bankers, financial institutions, and industry associations, ensuring that all stakeholders understand how to leverage the scheme effectively.
