West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has recently levelled serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Addressing a gathering, Mamata Banerjee remarked, “The first call I receive is from the police, and the second…,” suggesting that pressure is being applied on state administration and law enforcement agencies.
The Chief Minister alleged that the BJP is abusing the administrative machinery in the state for political gain. She claimed that police officers are being directed to harass TMC leaders by misusing their positions and pressuring them to join the BJP. Additionally, she accused BJP leaders of calling up TMC legislators and councillors, offering inducements to switch parties.
