Just days after the United Democratic Front (UDF) government assumed office in Kerala, a long-standing land dispute in Munambam village, Ernakulam, has reignited after the Kerala State Waqf Board completed the registration of the controversial land on the UMEED portal. The Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and Development (UMEED) portal, launched by the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs, serves as a centralized digital platform for the registration, real-time verification, and monitoring of Waqf properties across India.
