A fresh goat-related dispute has erupted in a community in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area. According to local sources, some residents have been facing difficulties due to goats roaming freely in their locality. As a result, community managers and local residents filed a complaint with the police, demanding the removal of these goats.
On Wednesday, police arrived at the Ghatkopar community. They launched an operation to catch and remove the goats from the area. Residents and community managers assisted the police during the operation. While some goats resisted, the officers managed to catch and clear them out after considerable effort.
According to local residents, these goats were posing a threat to safety and cleanliness in the community. Some goats could endanger children, while others were creating piles of garbage on the community roads. Despite repeated warnings from community managers, the goat owners took no action, forcing residents to seek police intervention.
The police have stated that since the owners of the goats could not be identified, the animals were removed from the community. Further investigation is underway, and legal action will be taken against the owners once they are traced. It is worth noting that this is the second such incident in a Mumbai community involving goats.
