Munger, October 10: In collaboration with district authorities and the fire department, fire safety awareness programmes have been organised at various locations across Munger city. The initiative aims to educate citizens about fire hazards and preventive measures. The programmes, which began on October 9, will continue until October 15.
District Collector Ms. Rama Krishnan graced the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, she emphasised the importance of caution in preventing fire-related risks to lives and property. “A small act of negligence can lead to a major disaster. Therefore, it is our collective responsibility to follow fire safety measures,” she stated. During the event, Mr. Prakash, the head of the district fire department, demonstrated the proper use of firefighting equipment and outlined the steps to be taken during emergencies.
