Nineteen people have died so far in a massive explosion that rocked a major industrial area in Nagpur on Tuesday morning. The incident came to light around 7:30 a.m. local time when a blast occurred in a factory, reportedly due to a technical fault or gas leak. Authorities said that immediately after the blast, local administration and fire department launched rescue operations, evacuating more than 50 people to safety.
A senior officer from Maharashtra’s Home Ministry stated that special teams were deployed to extract people trapped inside the factory. However, the exact cause of the explosion is yet to be determined. Initial reports suggest a possible gas cylinder leak, while other sources indicate it could have been caused by machinery malfunction or human error.
