A 22-year-old NEET aspirant was found dead in his hostel room in Bhagalpur, Bihar, on the night of June 12, 2024. The deceased, identified as Rakesh Kumar (name changed for privacy), was a resident of the hostel attached to a private coaching institute in the city. According to preliminary reports, Kumar was found hanging from the ceiling fan by his roommate around 10:30 PM. The roommate immediately informed the hostel warden, who then contacted the police.
The police arrived at the scene and recovered the body. A preliminary examination suggested that Kumar had been dead for several hours before being discovered.
