Anand Mohan, a 2018-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Kerala cadre, formally assumed charge as the Collector of Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu on Monday, June 3, 2024. His appointment follows the transfer of his predecessor, R. Sukumar. Speaking to reporters shortly after taking office, Mr. Mohan outlined a comprehensive agenda centred on education, employment, public health, and environmental conservation, asserting that these sectors are intrinsically linked to social harmony and law and order in the district.
