A tragic road accident in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, claimed the life of Himanshu Mehra, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) headquarters in Delhi, on Saturday night. Mehra was traveling to Uttarakhand with his girlfriend when their bike collided with a large container. The woman, who was critically injured in the crash, was rushed to the hospital, while Mehra could not be saved.
According to local police officials, the incident occurred around 9:30 PM in the outskirts of Moradabad. Mehra and his girlfriend were riding a Bajaj Platina bike when it collided with a heavy container ahead, causing both to fall. Mehra suffered severe head and chest injuries, leading to his death. The woman was admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital in Moradabad in critical condition, where her situation remains grave.
