The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step to strengthen public transport in Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Authority regions. Starting June this year, 510 electric city (e-City) buses will be introduced in these areas, aiming to improve urban transport connectivity.

The Noida Metropolitan Development Authority (NMDC) and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) will jointly operate these buses. State transport department officials have confirmed that the project will be fully implemented from June.
The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance public transport connectivity between Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Authority areas. Additionally, these buses will connect with IndiGo and SpiceJet airports, further improving convenience for passengers. The project is expected to cost around ₹300 crore and will be executed with support from both the state and central governments.
