Gautam Buddh Nagar, July 12 – Two teenagers were injured in two separate incidents during a severe storm and rain that hit Noida on Monday evening. The first incident occurred at a under-construction site in Gaur City, where a large signboard collapsed, critically injuring two teenagers. The second incident took place in Chhotepur Colony, where a teenager was injured after bricks fell from a house wall.
According to local residents and witnesses at the scene, heavy rain accompanied by strong gusts of wind began around 6:45 p.m. in Gaur City. During this time, a large aluminium signboard installed on the exterior of the under-construction building broke loose due to the strong winds and fell. Two teenagers standing underneath were struck by the falling signboard and were immediately rushed to MGM Hospital in Noida. Hospital sources confirmed that while the injuries are not life-threatening, the teenagers are under observation. Police have initiated action against the owner of the under-construction building.
