Bhubaneswar, Odisha – On Sunday, two out of three women protesting against a land dispute outside the residence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in Lower PMG, Bhubaneswar, suddenly consumed poison. The situation turned tense, but prompt action by the police ensured that both women were rushed to the hospital. According to police officials, the condition of both women was critical, but after receiving treatment, they are now out of danger.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena stated that on Sunday morning, three women were protesting at the designated spot outside the Chief Minister's residence in Lower PMG, demanding a resolution to the land dispute. These women were from the Banpur area of Khurda district. During the protest, police officials decided to take the women to their area so that the land dispute could be resolved immediately. DCP Meena said, "The three women were protesting at the designated spot and expressing their grievances regarding the land dispute in the Banpur area. Meanwhile, police officials prepared to take them to their area."
