New Delhi, May 23, 2024 – The Delhi government is set to phase out the pink ticket system, which currently allows free travel for women in DTC buses, and replace it with the mandatory use of the ‘Pink Smart Card’. Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Singh announced on Thursday that the government aims to implement this change by July. He clarified that the objective of this transition is to make public transport more convenient and transparent for women.
