Reports have emerged that a woman from Uganda has shown symptoms of the Ebola virus in Bengaluru. In response, intensified monitoring measures are being implemented across government hospitals in the city. Health department officials stated that the woman had recently arrived in India from Uganda and was admitted to a hospital due to illness.
Addressing the incident, Karnataka State Health Minister T.S. Shivanna said, “The woman who arrived from Uganda is showing symptoms of Ebola. Therefore, we are treating her in an isolated room and monitoring everyone who has been in contact with her.” Given the high danger posed by the Ebola virus, the government has taken all precautionary measures.
