Political developments in Karnataka are unfolding rapidly. Following his election as leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), D.K. Shivakumar is poised to take oath as the state’s next Chief Minister on June 3. Shivakumar’s decisive role in convincing the Congress high command paved the way for senior leader Siddaramaiah to step aside from the top post.
Amidst this political transition, the spotlight is on the revered Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple in Raichur district. The temple’s chief priest, Shamaacharya, had long ago prophesied that D.K. Shivakumar would become Chief Minister. Now that the prediction has come true, the temple is buzzing with celebration. Speaking to TV9 Bharatvarsh, Shamaacharya expressed his joy, noting that performing the *madhu abhishekam* ritual before the Panchamukhi Pranadeva removes obstacles and fulfills devotees’ wishes. He recalled that after conducting the ritual, he had clearly stated that D.K. Shivakumar would become Chief Minister—and today, that statement has been vindicated.
