The 38-hour-old power crisis in Bhagalpur district has prompted Managing Director (MD) of the Bihar State Electricity Board, Sandeep Singh, to travel from Patna to take direct charge. Arriving in Bhagalpur on Monday morning, Singh held an urgent meeting with local officials and issued strict instructions for an immediate resolution to the ongoing outage.
“Power supply must be restored within four hours—no excuses, no delays,” Singh told the assembled team, underscoring the urgency of the situation. The state government has deployed additional staff to Bhagalpur, with engineers and technicians working round the clock to restore normalcy.
Investigations are underway to determine the root cause of the blackout, with officials suspecting either a technical fault or a systemic failure in the power distribution network. Singh assured the public that every effort is being made to resolve the crisis at the earliest.
