A significant anti-drug awareness campaign has been launched from Muradpur village in Samana town of Punjab. The initiative was kicked off by local MLA Jai Inder Kaur, who addressed villagers about the deadly effects of drugs and urged collective efforts to tackle the menace.
Speaking on the occasion, Jai Inder Kaur highlighted that drug abuse is a major obstacle to Punjab’s social and economic progress. Addressing the villagers, she stressed that eradicating the drug problem requires more than just government efforts—every section of society must contribute. She specifically called upon the youth and women of the village to take the lead in the fight against drugs.
Under the campaign, various programs will be organized in Muradpur to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs. These will include awareness rallies in schools, street plays, and interactions with local leaders. Additionally, free counseling and treatment facilities will be provided for those struggling with addiction.
