Jodhpur, Rajasthan – A retired Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) was discovered dead at his private residence in Jodhpur on Tuesday morning, prompting police to launch an investigation into the cause of death. The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Suresh Kumar Meena, a former officer who had served in the Rajasthan Police before retiring two years ago.
According to preliminary reports, Meena was found unresponsive in his bedroom by family members around 7:30 AM. Despite immediate efforts to revive him, he was declared dead on arrival by local medical staff. Police, who reached the spot within minutes, found no visible signs of struggle or injury. However, they have not ruled out unnatural causes and have registered a case under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) for unnatural death.
