Actor Riz Ahmed, known for his roles in films like *The Road to Guantánamo* and *Venom*, has revealed that he was approached three times by individuals attempting to recruit him into secret services. Speaking in a recent interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan on his social media platform, Ahmed recounted these unusual experiences with a mix of humor and surprise.
The first attempt occurred shortly after Ahmed completed his debut film, *The Road to Guantánamo*. Upon landing at Luton Airport, Ahmed and his team were celebrating when they were taken into a side room. He described being placed in an arm lock and threatened with a broken arm. His phone was confiscated, and the agents allegedly pretended to press buttons but accidentally changed the language setting to Danish. Ahmed recalled the agents asking, “Did you become an actor to further the Muslim struggle?” before requesting that he keep an eye out for incidents. He declined the offer.
