Mumbai Indians’ captain Rohit Sharma added another unwanted statistic to his illustrious IPL career on Sunday, as his dismissal for a duck against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium equalled the record for most ducks in the tournament’s history. The Mumbai Indians opener now shares the top spot with Glenn Maxwell, each having registered 19 ducks across their IPL careers. Sharma’s dismissal came in dramatic fashion when Jofra Archer produced a sharp outswinger that moved away from the right-hander, inducing an outside edge that was caught by wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel. The early wicket triggered a collapse, with Mumbai slipping to 38 for 4 in their chase of 206 runs.
