Kira Suvorova, the tourist, posted on Instagram, claiming her experience walking near the Yamuna riverfront was unpleasant. She alleged that an auto-rickshaw driver made inappropriate comments to her. The incident has since sparked widespread discussion on social media.
Following an investigation, Agra Police officials have stated that no harassment or misbehaviour occurred. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dr. Sukanya Sharma told the media that the tourist’s allegations were baseless. She added that the tourist herself admitted no misconduct had taken place. The police also emphasised that no formal complaint has been registered in connection with this incident.
