In a significant crackdown on corruption, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught a record assistant allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 in Hyderabad. The accused, identified as S. Shivanand, was working in the office of the Deputy Inspector of Schools at Government High School, Ameerpet Mandal, in the School Education department. According to the ACB, the record assistant allegedly demanded the bribe from a complainant for processing and submitting the pension benefit file of the complainant's mother to higher authorities and for processing retirement benefit settlements.
