Kota, Rajasthan – A second woman has died following a Caesarean section at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Kota, sparking outrage among family members who allege medical negligence. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, has led to protests outside the hospital, with relatives demanding immediate action against the staff involved.
According to hospital authorities, the deceased woman, identified as 32-year-old Sunita Devi from nearby Baran district, had undergone an emergency C-section on Monday. She was admitted to the post-operative ward but reportedly developed complications and passed away early Tuesday morning. Hospital officials have stated that she suffered from pre-existing health conditions, including hypertension, which may have contributed to her death. However, family members have rejected these claims, insisting that the surgery was improperly conducted and postoperative care was inadequate.
