A shocking incident has come to light in the Faridpur police station area of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh. In this case, a man allegedly shot and killed his own brother. The accused has been arrested, and the pistol and cartridges used in the murder have been recovered. The deceased has been identified as Indrapal Singh, a resident of Raipur Hans village in Faridpur. He was shot dead in the night of April 30, sending shockwaves through the family. The victim’s brother, Umesh Pal Singh, initially filed a complaint at the Faridpur police station, accusing some villagers of the murder.
Following the complaint, the police launched an investigation, deploying multiple teams, including surveillance units, the Special Operations Group (SOG), dog squads, and forensic teams, to probe various angles of the case. Initially, the police kept an eye on the villagers named in the complaint. However, as the investigation progressed, new evidence emerged, leading the police to suspect the complainant himself—Umesh Pal Singh. He was then taken into custody and subjected to rigorous interrogation.
