The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has delayed the process of releasing scanned copies of 12th board exams for the fourth time. The board had started the process on May 19, 2026, but has had to extend the application deadline three times so far. Despite this, many students are still waiting for their scanned copies, leading to widespread frustration and anger among students and parents.
CBSE had started the application process for 12th board exam scanned copies on May 19, 2026. However, the portal was down for the entire day due to technical issues. The next day, May 20, the portal was reopened at 2 pm, but the board extended the application deadline from May 22 to May 23. In the meantime, several students complained of payment-related issues. The portal was shut down again on the evening of May 22, after which CBSE extended the deadline to May 24. On May 24, the board extended the deadline once again to May 25. This is the fourth time the board has extended the application deadline.
