A new twist has emerged in the controversy sparked by a letter written by a student from Amravati district in Maharashtra, addressed to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, demanding a fan (cooler). According to sources, the administration initially issued an eviction notice to the student from the hostel, which was later revoked. The matter came to light when the student, residing in a government hostel in Amravati, wrote a letter to the CM complaining about the absence of a fan in her room, stating that she was facing immense discomfort due to the heat.
When the contents of the student’s letter reached Chief Minister Fadnavis, he immediately directed the Amravati district administration to take action on the matter. Following this, the district administration instructed the hostel authorities to install a fan in the student’s room without delay. However, before this could be done, the hostel administration, acting on a misunderstanding, issued an eviction notice to the student. This led to panic among the student and her family, as the hostel is a government accommodation and they had no alternative living arrangement.
