A serious incident occurred at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday morning when a SpiceJet flight mistakenly collided with a parked Akasa Air aircraft. Both planes sustained damage, but fortunately, no passengers or crew members were injured. As soon as the incident came to light, airport authorities sprang into action and launched an investigation into the causes of the accident.
According to airport officials, SpiceJet flight SG-248 was arriving from Mumbai and preparing to land at Indira Gandhi International Airport when it accidentally struck the parked Akasa Air aircraft. The Akasa Air plane had also arrived from Mumbai and was stationary on the runway at the time of the collision. During the impact, the front section of the SpiceJet aircraft and the side of the Akasa Air plane were damaged. The incident caused delays in several flights and created a state of chaos at the airport.
