A tragic incident occurred on Saturday night when an 18-year-old girl, Yancy, was killed after a car rammed the two-wheeler she was riding on the Koyambedu flyover in Chennai. The accident also left a minor girl, who was riding pillion, severely injured. According to the police, Yancy was the daughter of Mary Stella, a resident of the Sri Lankan Tamil Rehabilitation Camp at Anichankuppam in Villupuram district. Yancy had become friends with the minor girl, a resident of Ramapuram in Chennai, through social media and had been staying with her since last week.
